Minting Guide & Practice Mints

Meowllo! As we approach nearer to the official public minting launch, we want to make sure that everyone, especially those who are minting their first NFT, to be able to do so confidently and safely.

To facilitate that, we have deployed a modified contract to the Fantom testnet. We have also deployed a staging (means testing) minting website for you to play around, and mint a test NFT on the Fantom testnet.

Adding Fantom Testnet to Metamask

If you do not know how to add a blockchain network onto Metamask, please go through Quick Guide to Fantom Blockchain Network, the "Adding Fantom Network to Metamask" section.

Please use the information here to add Fantom testnet https://docs.fantom.foundation/tutorials/set-up-metamask-testnet

Getting Fantom Testnet FTM Tokens

To practice minting on testnet, you will first need to get some testnet FTM tokens for the gas fee. Since it's a testnet, anyone can request for some from a faucet. Please note that these testnet FTM tokens have no value and can only be used on the Fantom testnet.

To request for the testnet FTM tokens, go to https://faucet.fantom.network/ , change Metamask to use Fantom Testnet network. Copy your wallet address from Metamask, paste it in the field on the faucet webpage and you should be given 10 FTM.

🔗 Staging Mint Page

With your testnet FTM tokens, you are finally ready to test mint using the link above!

Some details you will want to take note of include:

Mint date & time - You will not be able to mint before this time. This is ignored for the test mint

Max mint / transaction - Amount of Cattos you can mint per transaction. Each interaction with Metamask refers to one transaction

Max mint / wallet - Total number of Cattos you can mint using a single wallet

Please note that the parameters for test mint and actual mint are different

Simply click on the "Mint" button to begin minting. Once minted, you can head over to "My Cattos" page to see your minted Cattos!

It can take up to 5 mins for your Catto to show up

All testnet Cattos are the same (your fav. Catto trololol), and is not a representation of what you will get in actual mint

Metadata will not be shown on page for Cattos minted on testnet
