Introduction

Katsu.Land is a tool built for the NFT communities on Discord, and serves as a way for users to verify NFT ownership in order to obtain a privileged role to access private Discord channels.

Motivation

There is already similar tools out there that do the same thing. The most well-known being Collab.Land. However, at the time of writing, it only supports Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain.

When we launched the Catto Katsu NFT collection on the Fantom network, we find ourselves without an easy and self-served way for adding our Discord community members to NFT holders-only channels.

We did find a Discord bot, TagMe, which is built specifically. Unfortunately, we had no luck getting it to work.

We are also considering the future, when Cattos become cross-chain on Fantom, Ethereum, and Harmony One. It will not be a good experience from both the server admin and end user point of view, to juggle multiple tools for NFT verification and role access.

Thus Katsu.Land was built, to serve our own community, and also the underserved NFT communities on Fantom and Harmony One.

Goals

We have two key goals:

• Seamless NFT verification for holders on Fantom, Ethereum, and Harmony One to gain access to roles in Discord

• Bringing utility for our Catto Katsu NFT collection, by building premium features, accessible only by holding a Catto
